Economics: Anti-Poverty Week Seminar

The Life Course Centre together with the School of Economics would like to invite you to attend our Anti-Poverty Week Seminar.

Anti-Poverty Week is held each year to coincide with the UN’s International Anti-Poverty Day on 17 October. It’s aim is to strengthen public understanding, concern and action about poverty and hardship in Australia and around the world. The Life Course Centre is pleased to be supporting Anti-Poverty week as it aligns with the work of our Research centre.

This is an opportunity for our students to hear a talk from alumni Richard Gibbs. Richard is a leading economist and public policy specialist with over 25 years’ experience across Australia, New Zealand, the US, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He will be talking about his journey, why he thinks it is important for economists to be involved with NGOs and career advice for students looking to make this a career choice.

Following the seminar, please join us for refreshments and canapés.
