Professor Mazerolle Honoured for Achievement in Evidence-Based Crime Policy
Congratulations to Life Course Centre Chief Investigator Professor Lorraine Mazerolle who has been awarded the 2019 Distinguished Achievement Award in Evidence-Based Crime Policy from the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia USA.
The award is the Center’s highest honour and recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution and commitment to advance the integration of science with criminal justice practice. In the field of criminology and criminal justice, the award is unique and celebrates the Center’s core values of both conducting rigorous science and translating research into practice.
This award follows on from Professor Mazerolle being honoured with the 2018 Sellin-Glueck Award from the American Society of Criminology in recognition of her outstanding contributions to scholarship and professional work on understanding crime internationally.
