The Life Course Centre seeks to works closely with Government at all levels to tackle the problem of disadvantage in Australia. Current Government projects include evaluating the success of the Australian Government Department of Social Services’ Try, Test and Learn Fund. This fund has invested in 14 projects that focus on the priority groups of young parents, young carers, and students at risk of long-term unemployment. In evaluating the outcomes of the Try, Test and Learn Fund, the Life Course Centre is conducting quantitative and qualitative reviews, including stakeholder interviews, participant surveys, case studies, program data analysis and secondary data analysis.
